Opening Day of Nutcracker in the Castle at the Paine Arts Center in Oshkosh is
November 18, 2016 to January 9, 2017.
Come meet the Sugar Plum Fairy and learn to fly and dance. Each session will be approximately 20 minutes long. Each dancer will receive a complimentary class pass to attend a class at Valley Academy for the Arts.
Noon-2 pm and 5-7 pm.
The Paine and Verve, a Credit Union invite children to visit Nutcracker in the Castle on opening day (Friday, Nov. 18) for FREE! Many schools are off this day, but for those that have school, we have extended our free hours so everyone can join. The Paine will be open from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Children, ages 17 and under, will be admitted for free with an $11 adult admission (limit of 5 free children tickets per adult admission). Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Families are invited to donate a toy (new and unwrapped) for Toys for Tots. Kids will place the donated toys under the giant Christmas tree as they begin their visit. We will be open for self-guided tours starting at 11 a.m. and candlelight tours starting at 4:30 p.m. Valley Academy for the Arts will offer drop-in â€œLearn to Dance Like the Sugar Plum Fairy and Toy Soldierâ€ sessions every 30 minutes from noon to 2 p.m. and again at 5 and 5:30 p.m. The Sugar Plum Fairyâ€™s Cupcake CafÃ© will be open from 5-7:30 p.m. Learn more about Nutcracker in the Castle at http://bit.ly/2dlVOvo.
The Nutcracker Suite
November 20 @ 1:00 pm at the South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center
The Nutcracker Suite is a delightful performance of excerpts from The Nutcracker danced by students in Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy.Â This shorter version of the traditional production is great for very young children and offers young ballet students to see others just a bit older perform these lead roles in professional costumes to musical favorites!
Tickets are $20.00 and go on sale Oct. 17 at 10AM
Run time is 60 minutes. For all ages. Call the box office for reservations for ages 3 and under.
