Ryan Cappelman is teaching Master Class at the Wisconsin Dance Council’s 2017 Conference from 9:00am to 10:30am!

Ryan’s class focuses on the storyline in musical theater and bringing a character to life through dance. Students will work on stamina, picking up choreography fast, and implementing, creating, and finessing strong character ideas simultaneously. 

Ryan Cappleman is a performer, choreographer, music director, director, and teacher in the Milwaukee area. As a performer favorite roles include the Scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz, Woof in Hair both at Skylight Music Theater, Jake in Waiting a Song Cycle off Broadway at the Cherry Lane Theater, The Balladeer/Lee Harvey Oswald in Assassins at Windfall Theater, and Fagin in Oliver! as a guest artist with UW Waukesha. Ryan has earned eight Tommy Awards for his work in High School Musical Theater programs. He has taught for Danceworks, Skylight, First Stage, Children’s Theatre of Madison, Northbrook Theater for Young Audiences, the Overture Center, and the Virginia State Thespian Conference. He has a BFA in Musical Theater performance from UW Milwaukee.
