A superstar on the rise, Jessica Lang has realized all expectations for astoundingly beautiful and emotionally moving work with recent commissions from The Kennedy Center and the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Jessica Lang Dance has been named among the best dance events of 2015 by the Chicago Sun-Times and the Chicago Tribune. Hailed “a master of visual composition” by Dance Magazine, the Bessie Award-winning Lang seamlessly incorporates striking design elements and transforms classical ballet language into artfully crafted, emotionally engaging contemporary work.

Lang has created more than 92 works for commissions from companies worldwide, including Birmingham Royal Ballet, The National Ballet of Japan, Joffrey Ballet, and Kansas City Ballet, among many others. American Ballet Theatre has presented her work at the Metropolitan Opera House. She has received commissions from the Dallas Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum for its Works & Process series. Lang received outstanding acclaim for her directorial debut and choreography for Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater at the 2013 Glimmerglass Festival.

Nine dancers in three dances honor the memory of Barry Lynn, a dance treasure of Wisconsin. He died early this year at the age of 104.  Michael Doran with Barry Lynn co-founded ChaliceStream, “a teaching and performing place,” near Ladysmith some forty years ago.  Barry Lynn was noted for his career in the arts, teaching and performance of signature storytelling dances into his early 100s.

Embraced by the warm water of the soothing therapy pool at TAC while guided by Dianné Jean Aldrich in a practice of mindfulness; we become conscious of the healing power of water. Warm Water Healing offers the opportunity to move without pain or urgency to increase range of motion, improve circulation, relieve tension, reduce stress, inspire body confidence and joyfully commune with the healing essence of water.

Dianné Aldrich is an Integrated Wellness Expert with more than 30 years of experience. She has a dynamic background in the healing arts and enjoys sharing her passion and expertise with a wide audience.

She is an international performer and taught dance in New York City for more than 14 years and now owns and runs her own business, 4Pillars4Health EcoSpace, LLC, an integrated wellness, dance, yoga, qigong and pilates studio in Monona.

Those who work with her can anticipate a genuine connection from the heart, a precision approach to assessing and correcting inefficient structural and neuromuscular habits, and improved overall well-being. She is masterful at creating sacred space for peace, healing and spiritual growth.

Madison Contemporary Vision Dance Company (MCVD) is a professional dance company based in Madison, Wisconsin.

The company provides performances, workshops, a pre-professional summer intensive, community outreach classes, and a community dance newsletter each season. 

Company members have the opportunity to take a class, perform at The Overture Center and get involved in community outreach and teaching. Returning company members have the opportunity to choreograph for the season’s performances. 

MCVD is looking for artistic, collaborative and hard working male and female dancers ages 18 and up.

The WYSO Percussion Ensemble is proudly partnering with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Madison to present “Heal The Nations,” a WYSO Percussion Extravaganza. WYSO fans can expect a high-energy performance from the Percussion Ensemble, whose guest performers constitute a cultural kaleidoscope. Guests include steel pan virtuoso Liam Teague; pianist Angela Nohl Batterman; Drum Power; flamenco dancer Tania Tandias; UW Chinese Dancers; UW World Percussion Ensemble; WYSO Brass Choirs; WYSO Music Makers; and the Zhong Yi Kung Fu Association.  Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for youth 18 & under, and are available online at or at the door 45 minutes prior to the concert.
