Madison tap dancers are gathering to celebrate National Tap Dance Day
Friday, May 25 at noon
Lisa Link Peace Park (downtown Madison, State St just off of Gilman St)
Madison tap dancers are gathering to celebrate National Tap Dance Day, the 140th birthday of Bill “Bojangles” Robinson, and the invaluable contribution of African-American culture to American Rhythm Tap Dance.
You are invited to join us! Dance, perform, sing, or be an audience member and watch us jam. Groups of tap dancers will be performing short routines, and we’ll finish the whole thing off with the Shim Sham. Bring your tap shoes, street shoes, sneakers, or portable floors. All are welcome.
