Internationally acclaimed Kathak Dancer Anindita Anaam is an exponent of this impressive Indian classical dance form ‘kathak’. Known for her graceful yet powerful performances, Anindita is a recipient of prestigious awards including Jayadev National Dance Award, National Dance Jewel Utkal Odisha, and others. She is the Artistic Director of Sargam Dance School India and has imparted dance training to hundreds of students over the last two decades. She has travelled all over in India, Germany, and the USA, and performed in major festivals like Delhi International Art Festival, BAGC Chicago, New York Kathak Festival, ICCT Memphis, and Kultur Nacht Germany. She is the first Indian dancer to start a free YouTube tutorial channel on Kathak in English to bridge gap of language, since Kathak is primarily taught in the Hindi language. Anindita is also part of grand jury for many national and international dance panels, and is one of few dancers to have shared stage with Grammy awardee musician VM Bhatt. She has been extensively covered by national and international media for her performances and choreographic work on social issues.
