Dear Wisconsin Dance Council Member, I am overjoyed to announce the call for the 2024 Wisconsin Dance Council Scholarship nominations. Our need-based scholarship for summer intensive programs, made possible by your financial support of WDC members, permits Wisconsin students to experience dance in life altering, invaluable ways. I personally feel that this scholarship is the most important service that we provide as an organization.
As a member of WDC, you are able to nominate one student for this scholarship opportunity. Applicants will be evaluated based on their ability to display a serious interest in dance, strong dance technique, and financial need. If you don’t already have a student in mind, I encourage you to reach out to your local dance community, including studios, college programs and companies, to inform them about our organization and the unique opportunity this scholarship could provide to a talented student in need of financial support.
Applicants Must Meet the Following Criteria:
- Resident of State of Wisconsin at the time of application and during the summer intensive program.
- Currently enrolled in eighth grade, high school or college.
- Must be between the ages of 14-22
- Did not receive a WDC scholarship in 2023
- Accepted into a summer intensive program, outside the dancer’s home studio or organization.
- Submit a nomination by a current Wisconsin Dance Council member
- Have a serious interest in dance, exhibit strong dance technique and demonstrate financial need.
- Submit all required applications components or post marked by April 1, 2024

The Wisconsin Dance Council provides an equitable need-based scholarship for talented students enrolled in eighth grade-college to seek unique opportunities for summer intensive training experiences.
